FEECHA BLOWS ...your mind!!

According to my #1 loyal reader - Mr Pork, he said that my blog is getting Boring (-_- ').
So, today I will be adding some zest into my blog and your life. Proudly presents

Feecha is the neighbourhood news app that feeds you with information about what's happening around you that very second you open the app. Some of you guys may not be new to this app cause they have launched Version 1 last year in Singapore and Malaysia. Now they are making it BIGGER, FASTER and BETTER!

How is it useful?

While waiting for a friend, you can just open Feecha to start planning where to hangout later, as it will tell you the coolest place to chill , best food around you, good deals around the corner and even interesting observations by others that will keep you entertained!

How it works?

Each Feecha is a piece of news. The bigger the Feecha the more popular it is, unpopular feecha will minimize  over time. When you zoom out to all of Singapore, you will only see the top stories in Singapore.

However, you can still view smaller feechas that aren't as popular enough to make it up the map by using Activity view to browse. If you think it is a good piece of news and  should have a place on the map, you can heart it to make it grow bigger!
There is also the neighbourhood animal, if you follow it, it will bring you feechas of that particular neighbourhood. This will come handy if you wants to keep yourself updated with what is happening in a specific area.

Other than viewing feechas posted by others, you can also create your own feechas to share with the others such as
introducing others to your latest food addiction and even
also share on some interesting, funny or useful information you have pertaining to your neighbourhood or the neighbourhood you frequent.

What makes him a champion?
You might be thinking to yourself, not another social apps that shares your location. NONONO!
Feecha is different, it pulls information from multiple sources and it's search engine is the only one that can show you what is relevant about your neighbourhood. It can tell you what's particularly happening in Woodlands or Tampines.

Other plus points, it gives the owner full control on the notification they would like to receive and it is not as taxing on your poor battery.

Additional Perks?
That is not all! Yes! You didn't hear me wrongly, other than having all these power in your hands (Knowledge is Power!) - sobz Ah Pork say not funny = (

Other than just viewing , creating feechas. They have also incorporated an island-wide treasure hunt. In other words, you can to win attractive prizes by using the app. All you have to do is to open the app everytime when you are in a new place and you can play the treasure hunt.
You will never know if you will get lucky this time round and your screen will pop up
Then,
There are a list of prizes to be won from tablets, wireless headphone to shopping vouchers, a long list of them waiting to be won. Check them out at Feecha!

How to get your fingers on it?

The best part is that it is FREE!!!
It is available for both Iphone and Android users.
So why wait, download Feecha from feecha.com today!
Start exploring and you will see Singapore in a different light!

Thumbs up for this app, don't believe? Hear it from others... +

Backdated Post- Mid Autumn Festival @ Chinese Garden

I can't believe it was like Mid-Autumn was 2 MONTHS ago and I have not post anything about it. Well, Sopfina talked about the statistical reading of somewhat your character and life which was quite accurate according to her. It kinda of ignite my curiosity and wanted to get my own reading there. I have a really hard time persuading people to go with me cause it was really out of the way. It is at Chinese Garden, near the end of Western part of Singapore. I tell you it is freaking far but not as far as Ah Pork's school.

I was trying to beg Ah Pork to go with me when it is only 2 MRT stops away from the nearest MRT station from his school and yet he refused to do so. What a "sweet boyfriend" he is right? Luckily, I always have supportive family members, my Aunty Shirley went there to get our readings done (unsure whether we will even get to see the booth on a random weekday night).

For both of us, this will probably be our second time in our lifetime to visit Chinese Garden. To our surprise, we ain't the only ones around, there are quite a number of people mostly tourists, foreigners and I suspect some of the Chinese students from Ah Pork's school too.

We were lucky we didn't need to walk too far to reach the booth, got the entry tickets at cheaper price because I am a PassionCard member (by the way watch movie also cheaper) we got free lanterns somemore (but it is not exactly like those chinese lantern lantern kind more like sci-fic kind ..later you continue to read then will know le)

The Oriental Pagoda With Stone Lion...Nononono They are not the normal stone lion we see outside temple and traditional oriental building.
They are made of paper - lantern lions! My first time seeing something like this...
Enormous Swan on the Lake.
We have characters from famous children storybooks!
Like 3 Little Pigs
Little Matchstick Girl
There are a lot of other exhibits
The Frog Prince
Photo Spam!!! ALERT!!

There's also wall full of dragons..
Like the different kind of dragons that are in different dynasty...

Dragons in the chinese history did undergo a great change over the years.
I hoped you all are still awake?
We was in time to watch the performance, Sichuan Face Changing, Opera and Acrobatics.
I don't know what's into us but we took a picture with the performer lol
We did a kinda of statistical combined fortune telling. Guess what I am the Number 1 person.
People are characterized into different number people with different characters.
Here's a summarized idea of how I am like.
Born Leader = Bossy and demanding at times. Frank and Direct = May hurt others with words unintentionally. But the person say I should do jobs related to people (consulting), Land (Property Agent) and Wood (Printing or Apparels) and said my current is very bad for me.. :(
True enough this is like one of the more challenging jobs I have, but still not fair to cause previously are all temp jobs which have less expectations and more relaxed I guess.
Me and Aunty Shirley did all sorts of stupid stuff...haha
Like
Trying to jump and reach the lanterns and Stupid Poses
Trying to fly to the moon like the folktale the Chang Ee ate an longevity pill and flew up to the moon and become a fairy there. Except the story like was I have ate lots of moon cakes and was unable to fly.
#Failed Attempt to Fly Me To The Moon
Pose of the Day?
This is the free lantern that was given to us. Resembles a flying saucer with glowing lights.
Aunty Shirley trying to hide behind me so her face look smaller -_-
And we tried our best to fly the lantern, yes fly - when you pull the attached rope then it is supposed to fly. But it didn't work so we pretend we can fly with it.

And guess who we look like now? We look like Aunty Shirley Favourite Cartoon Character - Doraemon
SEE!
We ended the day by showcasing the artistic side of us.

A photo of a not so usual moon. The moon that day was like in between orange and red colour.

I am so lucky!!

Lucky girl me was running through my emails on phone and saw this sweetest direct message tweet!
I won a pair of tickets to watch the new animated movie- Paranorman!! Will share with you my reviews on this film after I watched it so stay tuned!!
I got to know about this movie while working part-time in the library as a form of promotion, NLB is giving out the Paranorman stickers if you borrowed 6 items and present your receipt during the promotional period and if you only borrow 4 items you can get the bookmark!

I love to watch animated movies or what people called cartoons. I was learn something after watching these films. So excited about it!!! Big Big Thank You to Nuffnang for organising such awesome giveaways!

I have many things I need to do over the weekend:
1. Go Natas Fair and compare prices like Aunties
2. Work
3. Meetups with Uni friends and Genting buddies!
4. Watch Paranorman (liked)
5. Pack my room
6. Finish reading "The Secret" and put it to practice.

Only halfway done with the book, but I think it is working- for instance, this morning I took a cab to Bedok to chase after my company bus. The kuku driver send me to the wrong place, he dropped me at a hawker centre that was not the one nearer to the company bus pickup point. In my mind, I visualise that I reached the pickup area and the bus came when I reached. I was initially abit scare as my watch is already 7.47am which is 2 minutes late, but amazingly, I managed to find my way and reached the designated pickup point and just like what I have visualised I managed to board the bus. The scene was at least 95% identical to the one I have visualised earlier!!
I am so going to challenge what people deemed as impossible, recently I keep telling Ah Pork, I am growing taller at mid twenties lol. They think I am crazy but I really did grown taller by 1cm before even reading this book. I am going to change my life with this powerful book!!

Tomorrow is the department meeting that I don't really look forward to. I am going to do a presentation ~ I am going to test out the laws of attraction once again by thinking I am a very good public speaker to see how it goes tomorrow! Hahaha wish me luck or rather wish me abundance (greedy haha abundance sounds like every aspect of life is included).

A Happy Refugee - Day One

I am feeling much better after all my medication. In my previous post, I have mentioned that my faithful bed has passed away. So now, I have no place to zZzz in. My personal superhero - Ah Pork came to my rescue! He offered his bed to me. Now I have a temporary bed, sad to say but he has the King Koil mattress (he had a better bed than I do) there is no way I should say no to it. Plus, I will need to wake up early tomorrow to cover a colleague for my part time job.

This is the beginning of my day one of being a happy refugee... It starts after work, I get free perks! All thanks to Colgate and Singapore Dental Association. In the month of August, free dental checkups (oral examination and consultation) is available to public at the scheduled roadshows in accordance of Oral Health Month!
This was the roadshow I happened to pass by in Compass Point - Sengkang.
I was given an informative booklet and was encourage to have my free dental checkup by practicing dentist.
The useful, informative and handy booklet.
It educates public on oral health related topics like gum diseases, sensitive teeth, cavities and how to brush better etc.
Just like seeing a doctor in the clinic, I got my queue number
and waited patiently outside the consultation room for my turn.
My checkup sheet with problem teeth areas being highlighted. Erm.. sad but the dentist said my teeth was not exactly as clean as I thought it should be *sob* . He said it was due to my orthodontics fixture - retainers at my lower teeth and that I might want to consider removing my 2 wisdom tooth at the lower gums. There was another booth that handed me free samples.
Free Samples!!
Colgate Total Toothpaste
Haha!! This happens to be the toothpaste my family now uses...
Colgate Plax Fresh Tea
After the success of Colgate Plax, they have come up with a new Fresh Tea Flavour. I have tried and tested it, it really keeps my mouth clean and fresh for hours.
What I like about it - Colgate Plax Fresh Tea Flavour?
  • Refreshing Tea Flavour - can really feel the tea leaves kind of flavour explodes in your mouth
  • No burning sensation - unlike usual mouthwash, we tend to get the prickling, burning sensation once you gurgle and the mouthwash touches your tongue, this is really different it does not have that scary feeling that you will lose your tastebuds any time.
  • Long lasting - it really keeps my mouth fresh and clean for hours at least 6-8 hours.
  • No strong minty taste - best for people who doesn't like minty stuff
It is tried and tested!! Highly recommended, I will get a bottle once I use up my sample.

Time to put dental health aside first and fill up my groaning tummy.
Went to Chomp Chomp @ Serangoon Gardens for dinner with Ah Pork. Well, Chomp Chomp is most probably one of the best hawker centre we have here in Singapore, our babysitter for the Genting Trip - Ladyironchef also say so!

Great Stomach thinks alike!! I only found out that I ordered my food from the same stalls in Brad's (Ladyironchef) post on Chomp Chomp..Muahahaha (^o^)

Chicken Wings that Sparkles....
Fat Fat Oyster on my Oyster Omelette!!
Hokkien Mee with not the usual texture due to the white thick noodles that are slimmer than normal ones. It is amazing how I could still eat Hokkien Mee after having diarrhea that was triggered by Hokkien Mee. Maybe because I am half a Hokkien that is why I cannot resist it??
Satay without my Ketupat (-_-)
Don't know why people will order satay without the Ketupat (rice wrapped in weaved leaves)? Ask Ah Pork. It is supposed to be the essence of this malay dish. For people who do not know how Ketupat looks like:

Got good food to eat, nice and cozy place to sleep. How not be a happy and contented refugee?
