Seventh Month + Long Weekend

Backdated post on how I spend my long weekend,

Surfing the net - update myself with the job market, went for Pedicure and bought new earrings.

*Boring*

Well to celebrate welcome our friends from another dimension (Seventh Month), I got my nails coloured in green [Personally, I think green colour gives a more creepy feeling]

And to add on the mood, I bought some interesting earrings from Diva that somehow fits a bit into this special month theme.

Haha...actually realised is only the skull , cross and bull's head that is closer to the theme.

Oh nearly forgot about my Belly Studs

Yes! I have a belly peircing sometimes I also wonder myself, why did I peirce my belly when it cannot meet the public- always hidden beneath my clothes not confortable of flashing my fatty belly lol

For those who know nuts about Seventh Month:

Seventh Month falls on the seventh month on Chinese Lunar Calender. Chinese believed that this is the month where the gates of hell are open and it is kinda of like a summer vacation for the dead. It is also known as the Hungry Ghost Festival. Well, Chinese would refer Ghost here as good buddies/ brother.

Offerings such as joss sticks, paper money and food is offered to the spirits that are believed to wander and roam around the streets in this particular month. Common advice from the older generation will be for us  to go home early and also not to anyhow pick up stuff on the road, mind our words and also not to step on offerings. I think it is like practising mutual respect since it is believed that we are now sharing the same space.

Monday's gone and we started work on Tuesday. Everyone is still in their holiday mood and probably that is why I found this in my breakfast bought from my company's canteen.

I don't know what is this doing in my Bee Hoon but it is certified disgusting. It looks like a plastic material kind of object. Canteen Aunty trying to murder me??

Luckily, I had a satisfying lunch to comfort my distasteful breakfast...

My right hand's panda fell off and left me with an ugly circle (too ugly to appear here)
I cannot stand to have such ugly nails. We have an emergency which is to save Mindy's nails!
Google and found Susan online.Susan is the owner of  Precious Nails . I must say she is the first manicurist that I have met with a lot of expressions (like funny faces and weird sounds..I meant it in a good way - she is quite cute) Such a pity I didn't have time to chit chat a lot with her cause I was too dead tired (slept at 2 plus the day before)
She was very patient and help me remove the whole set of gel nails which was consider very very fresh I
 think it last me 3 days only. (All my money go to the long gou aka drain)

Nice right? I think I will drop by Susan's place often since I have company bus going to Tampines too! The  price also very reasonable. My gelish plus nail art plus soak off inclusive is $80. Luckily Susan is here to save my day - or else faceless panda would haunt me. Ah Pork want to kill me because of my nails addiction *sob sob* I am affirmed that I want to be a nail technician when I get my own house set up my own home based nail shop - Mission "Every girl deserve to have nails to die for" then shop maybe called Girl, have you nailed it? *daydreaming and drooling mood*

 Look at 2012!!! No wonder some people say fat people are potential share 潜力股! Don't know if I am one. Ah Pork say he wait forever for me to undergo transformation like this one - lose weight and stunned people. Not sure if it can be as powerful as this case. If I slim down, maybe I become worse looking then my current fat Hum Chee Pang face? (insecurities and fear looms around) I just want to stay healthy and happy - but now definitely not healthy - feel tired and panting after climbing short flight of stairs :( 
Another inspiring case will be Eric Lim's recent post on dealing with weight problem.
Had been following his blog a few months - just got to know that he is actually a plump little boy when he is young - he worked hard and lost weight 胖ness (fatness) left him. I am a bit sad cause 胖ness was always my friend don't know when he will defriend me (thinking to myself I don't want to be a fat bride on my wedding - something has to be done!!)

According to The Secret, I just have to ask for the things I want, believe it will happen and wait for it to happen. *heehee* I think right now Ah Pork wants to burn the book away muahahaha

Backdated Post - Discovering New Places...KSL in JB

Heard from Sharon about this new KSL shopping mall in JB. She made her nails there and said it was rather cheap. So here I am with my Aunty Shirley to KSL last Sat!

All ready to give my ugly nails a makeover.
Didn't go to the shop that Sharon went the other time cause it was rather crowded. But I saw this princessy nail salon which immediately attracted me!

It has very sweet and dreamy decor

Did my gel infills + nail art and classic pedi there. They have TV screen showing Hongkong TV Serial. Love the pinky feel. I wish I own a nail salon like this!

In the end, chose to do the second one with the panda but not like exact design (know it will cost a lot more if I get all the nails with nail art! So this was the final product.

I must say it is very cheap as compare to doing it in Singapore. In total I spent RM 216 which is about Sing dollars $80 plus. But what was disappointing was that my panda face cracked not long after I came back to Singapore *sobz* and the gel was quite thick. Saw many other nail salon after I have my nails done *Argh could have done more price comparison*

While I sat down in the nail salon for 3 hours, my dear Aunty Shirley went to colour her hair.

The salon director curled her hair muahahaha...

Went for some K- timing! K box Plus...

 Nuggets and Potato Coronet plus packet drink included in the package. The medium room 3 hours plus snacks and 2 Bento RM 120 ($48). So sad if we have more people then a lot cheaper cause they calculate by room one. I even make their member card. Hahahaha * aunty character-make cards = more discount

Day 46 - Catch Up with WooLuLu!

Woo LuLu is not the name of some product, she is my Sec sch, JC and Uni friend. We have known each other for like roughly 10 years. Back then, we were also old neighbours cause she stayed right opposite me and we will go to school together. I forgot why I gave her this nickname but Woo is her surname and she has an english name called Steller which obviously I don't call her by. I just like the way Woo LuLu sounds! This is how imperious I am - not forgetting the fact that when I choose presents for others I will choose the ones I like lol so people don't normally ask me along to choose presents (AWww...)

Here's our pretty Woolulu with the food she ordered when we went for our afternoon tea at Marmalade Pantry @ Ion Orchard (have been to this place for desserts with my mahjong lovelies where we always order the sticky date dessert)

We updated each other with some new stuff in life - buying HDB flats etc. She has already chosen her unit and while meeting up with her, she told me that people have already started choosing units for my area. So she helped me check and like THE SHOCKING NEWS I didn't even know I was given a date to choose my flat somewhere in Sep this year. So 2K will be gone on that day.. Well, both of us think marriage is kind of scary cause a part of us still thinks we are like kids and to be someone's wife and mother is like Wooo...Wait a minute! But guess before you knew it things just happened like that - I think this happens to my parents or even yours.

And people actually buy this ugly looking Zip Lock Bag...Can't deny it was quite funny but really this is how amazing Marketing is! The food was not fantastic and we left to go for some shopping. Went to Sephora just can't help when I saw lots of nail colour testers..Opps and Tadda I helped Woo Lulu did a really really express manicure. Initially wanted to try out the colours but some nail guru in me just started painting the rest of the nails- but I think the combination is really cool some Chinaglaze peacock green colour and OPI metallic colour. The one finger different colour is a new nail trend! 

Express Manicure at $0 cost..Erm people I am not encouraging all of you to go to Sephora for express manicure hor! lol cause my heart like beats freaking fast when people walk past and the security was  like hawk-eye us..Scary but exciting! Phew!Oh the manicure was just in time cause she has a wedding to attend tomorrow.

We went to Ngee Ann City to hunt for Woo Lulu's Tom's shoes at Pedder Red. I think you all know right the shoes that are not exactly what I would consider nice not sure about the other fancy designs cause the ones I saw all look like this

It looks very comfy and casual but when I dropped by their websites here TOMS I saw this pair that is quite cute..

Street graffiti one..Cute and funky right? But what I really like would be their mission - when you purchase a pair of  Toms, they are giving out a new pair to child that needs it! Very meaningful movement founded by a socially responsible company! Tempted to buy but Ah Pork say he could draw the grafitti on a Bata school shoe for me (-_-'')

Bought a very nice smelling hand cream with very pretty packaging from Takashimaya. The brand is called Tokyo Milk by Margot Elena , the webpage said it is body luxuries, indeed the price is also quite luxury - $29.90 for a tube - 64g. Hmm I think it will last quite a while (I hope). I bought the No 3. Eden, 

Key Ingredients: Japanese Green Tea, Mimosa Bark and Dandelion with rich Shea Butter. Organic and quite moisturing, makes a perfect christmas gift!

After the not so satisfying meal, we saw the Food Fest at Taka's atrium and I bought this highly recommended Fresh Oyster at a stall right at the end near fountain side.

OYSTER LOVERS ALERT!!

The oysters were fat and juicy. When you take a bite, the juice from the oyster

 just burst in your mouth. It so fresh it tastes just like it was taken out from the sea. You will feel like you are swimming in the ocean. Too bad Ah Pork so lazy, if not we can go eat. He loves oysters as much as I do! But it is 3 for $7.80 hmm can buy 3 plates of chicken rice (' x ')

Walk past a very interesting shop at Wisma called Lush - they make handmade cosmetics with all natural ingredients. The stall has soap, body cleanser, facial cleanser and other stuff that were made looking like some of our favourite food.

Woo Lulu made a lovely collage for me!

Have a chat with the sales person she said the brand is from the UK. Some products are made in Singapore caused since it has no preservatives and artificial stuff in it, it can only be kept for 1 month if they were to ship the products would have become moldy. I tried out one of the mask it works really well, it brighten and clears the skin and I bought another mask that called Catastrophe Cosmetics that helps with blackhead and clearing pores (I hate nasty blackheads on my nose!)
